Lake View Home

This house came out of a dream of living on the top of a hill with views out to the lake and hills. The design culminated from a thorough feasibility analysis and site study. It lies at the intersection of the needs of the homeowner and the opportunities presented by the site.  We worked with the Architectural Control Committee to make the case for certain variances to the deed restrictions.

The plan layout allows you to appreciate the views and expanse of the canyon as soon as you enter the foyer. An open floor plan and expansive outdoor living areas allow the homeowners to entertain and host large parties. A deep covered terrace shades the mid afternoon sun while allowing you to watch the sunset over the lake.

The negative edge pool is the crown jewel of the project. It sits at the edge of the precipice with an angular disappearing edge extending towards the views of the lake. Stepping stones through the pool separate the tanning area/kiddie pool from the deep end. A cascading water feature with simple bubblers catch your eye as a focal point before the expanse of the canyon.
